Over the Christmas period, Express is bringing you a series of Bailiwick Christmas Covers from across the island's diverse music scene, from instrumentals to pop classics.

Today's cover is courtesy of Olly Rybarczuk, a guitar player and full-time professional musician from Jersey.

His main work is teaching guitar, ukulele and audio production, which he does full-time for the Jersey Music Service, and also part-time for Jenca Music School.

He also plays guitar in the progressive metal band GAIA, which is based in the UK, and plays locally with Giles Robson, the Jersey Bounce, Jessica Lloyd Band, and any other band that needs a guitar player for hire at short notice.

Olly is also Bailiwick Christmas Covers veteran, having previous wowed us with his 'Rock the Halls' and 'Ding, Dong, Shredding on High'.

On his choice of song this year, Olly said: "I decided to deviate from my usual metal themed arrangements, and instead decided to play an arrangement of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas from the jazz guitarist Ted Greene, who is one of my all time favourite players.

"...It took a good few tries to get the single take performance that you hear, which is something I really wanted to achieve for this as Ted Greene was renowned for his flawless live solo performances."
