A man in his 20s managed to avoid serious injury after his car managed to clear a barrier and plunged down cliffs at La Corbière.
Passers-by spotted the car with one door open and the engine still running at a near-vertical angle yesterday morning.
Update: no one hurt. What a lucky escape. Engine was still running when I got there. It’s a mystery how they got over the stone barrier.

Officers told Express yesterday afternoon that a 26-year-old man had been taken to hospital after the incident “as a precaution”.
They said it was unclear how the vehicle cleared the barrier, and that investigations into exactly what happened remained ongoing.
