A 64-year-old man has pleaded guilty to making more than 230 indecent images and several videos of children under the age of 16.
James William Gervaise Le Gros has also admitted attempting to incite a person he believed to be a female child aged 12 to engage in a sexual act and distributing an indecent image.
The 243 images, which include 10 moving ones, were created across several devices between February 2013 and June 2019.
He will be sentenced before the Royal Court on 2 October and will remain in custody in the meantime.
His lawyer, Advocate Olaf Blakeley, has asked for a psychological report to be produced.
