A 33-year-old man has has been charged with grave and criminal assault and theft after allegedly stealing medication and stabbing a man in his 50s in his legs and arm at a property in St. Saviour.
James Christopher Power appeared in the Magistrate's Court before Magistrate Bridget Shaw just before 12:00 today.
He was charged with one count of grave and criminal assault and one count of larceny for "criminally stealing prescription medication", of a value yet to be determined, from the alleged victim.
The charges both relate to an incident alleged to have happened in a property on Beach Road.

The Magistrate declined jurisdiction due to the seriousness of the charges against him.
She also refused bail even though no application was made for Mr Power to be released from custody.

Mr Power's next appearance in Court has been scheduled for 2 September.
His case is due to be formally committed to Royal Court four weeks after that, on 30 September.
