Autumn trial for man accused of rape

Tuesday 13 April 2021

A 21-year-old man charged with two counts of rape is to face a trial in the Royal Court this autumn.

Alex John Hill entered 'not guilty' pleas to the charges, which are alleged to have occurred in the first half of 2019, when he appeared in the Royal Court on Friday.

He also denied three counts of assault in 2018 and 2019, and a charge of grave and criminal assault in 2019.

All the charges relate to the same female.

A four-day trial is scheduled for 6 September. Mr Hill was remanded on bail until 18 May, when a pre-trial hearing will take place.
