Man hospitalised after Parade Gardens attack - witness appeal

Saturday 07 May 2016

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in the Parade Gardens on Thursday afternoon.

The man was knocked out and left with head an facial injuries after the initial attack - and police say that the attacker went away and then came back and attacked the victim again.

A suspect is already in custody, but police want witnesses to come forward to find out exactly what happened.

A witness appeal from the police said: "Police do have a suspect in custody, but need to gain a better picture of events and are asking for the public’s help. If you were in the park yesterday afternoon and saw this incident, or have any information relating to it, please contact us on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111."
