Meet the candidates: Hugh Raymond

Tuesday 30 August 2016

Hugh Raymond says he's, "...decided to stand for Senator because he firmly believes he can put his vast experience to positive use and make a difference for the benefit of the Island."

It's similar to what many of the candidates have been saying.

But, what makes one candidate stand out from another? Well, it could be what they like to eat, or who they like to meet! Either way, at Bailiwick Express we thought it would be a bit of fun, and take away some of the drudgery from the campaign trail, to find out more about the prospective politicians and sent them all a light-hearted questionnaire.

What one thing would you do to improve life in Jersey?

To try and get more people using the buses or sharing cars, far too many cars on the Island, safety is imperative for the public.

What’s your favourite place in Jersey?

Rozel Bay.

What’s your favourite meal?

A very good chateaubriand for two.

What’s your favourite pizza topping?

Chorizo.

What’s your favourite drink?

Gin and tonic.

What’s your favourite song?

Jerusalem.

What’s your favourite book?

Wuthering Heights.

What’s your favourite film?

Diamonds are Forever.

If you were an animal what would you be?

A Siamese cat.

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with, and why?

Jeremy Clarkson to really find out whether he is a genuine bloke or just a ‘prat.’

Who would you hate to be stuck in a lift with, and why?

Jeremy Corbyn cannot really understand him at all and not sure what on earth we would be talking about.

One of the other candidates!!!!!!!
