A missing man, who was the subject of an intense coastal search operation last night, has been found.
Police had raised concerns for the welfare of Gareth Collins yesterday evening, after he had been reported missing.
An Emergency Services Search and Rescue Operation (SAR) operation was subsequently launched along the East Coast at around 23:00 last night, using RNLI Inshore Lifeboats and a low-flying helicopter, which Islanders reported to have heard flying in the Havre des Pas region.
The SAR helicopter stood down at around 01:00 on Thursday morning and returned to Cherbourg.
But Mr Collins returned home this morning, unharmed.
In a Facebook message, the Police thanked everyone involved in the operation for their help.
