More spaces at the Waterfront

The new car park at the Waterfront has opened.

The car park - over the road from the existing Esplanade car park - has opened with 220 spaces.

TTS will now mark around 70 spaces in the main car park for 'Shoppers Only' with a three-hour stay limit.

The new car park has been set up to provide replacement spaces for those that will be lost when the office development starts on the main site.

Transport Minister Eddie Noel said: “The opening of Les Jardins car park has given us a great opportunity to provide more shopper spaces. These will be particularly useful when we start to refurbish Sand Street multi-storey car park and we will need to temporarily suspend some of the parking while the work is being undertaken.”
