It's back to business today for Sarah Ferguson who's returning to the States for her second stint.
She topped the poll in the Senatorial by-election on Wednesday night, and is being sworn in, in the Royal Court this morning.
The former Senator won 3,649 votes, just 131 more than runner-up, Deputy Sam Mezec.
But the 74-year-old already got plans for a complete review of the tax system.
As she celebrated her win, she told Express: "My first aim will be to amend the additions to the MTFP, which the States is debating this month. I have to bring back some sanity to the States' financial affairs and I will be calling for a complete review of taxes before any new charges are introduced. It is deeply disturbing that, since 2007, 10,000 fewer people pay tax."
Senator-elect Ferguson lost her seat in the 2014 general election, narrowly missing out to 8th placed Senator Philip Ozouf on a recount.
