Jersey’s newest police recruits are preparing to return to the island as officers after completing 10 weeks of intensive training in Norfolk.
The group of 10 was sworn in at the Royal Court in October, before they travelled to Norfolk Constabulary training site in Hethersett.
The programme included physical training and ‘role play’ scenarios, as well as First Aid training, and classroom-based work.
Their passing out parade took place yesterday, with Chief Officer Robin Smith and other senior members of Jersey’s Force in attendance.

The officers, who will be starting in January after a short local course, are: PC Vito Da Conceicao, PC Peter Faudemer, PC Lauren Pollock, PC Daniel Tree, PC Cherry Brough, PC Chloe Jones, PC Jerry Sexton, PC Jed Blackburn, PC Ruth Greet and PC Joel Dudley.
Acting Chief Inspector Mark Hafey said: “It’s always a proud moment when we bring new officers into the force. They have undertaken some world-class training with Norfolk Constabulary and we look forward to welcoming them back in January to commence supervised frontline duties.”
