Pensioner in court accused of shouting abuse

A pensioner has appeared in Jersey’s Magistrates Court accused of shouting abusive language at people, including a woman who allegedly saw him kicking his dog.

65-year-old Richard Le Tiec, from Jersey, appeared in the Magistrates Court yesterday charged with seven offences of disorderly conduct and harassment, and one offence of refusing to leave licenced premises. All the offences are alleged to have taken place in the past two months.

Mr Le Tiec is due back in court on Friday 23 February 2018.
