The Reasons Festival taking place next month – headlined by west coast hip-hop legends Pharcyde – has launched an Instagram competition to win tickets, an iPhone 6 and Beats Headphones.
The festival, which is being sponsored by iQ, is challenging Islanders to come up with videos or images of ‘Perfect Partnerships’ on Instagram.
The winners of a public vote will get free tickets, and the main prize will be chosen by the iQ and Reasons team.
The festival takes place on Saturday 11 July at Coronation Park, Millbrook – it’s the first event on this scale by the organisers, and they’re hoping that 3,000 people will turn out on the day.
Confirmed artists include: Pharcyde, Jazzie B OBE, Justin Robertson, Josh Wink, Jazzie B OBE (Soul II Soul), Norman Jay MBE and Daddy G (Massive Attack).
If you want to get involved in the competition, upload your ‘Perfect Partnerships’ pic or vid to Instagram with a short description, adding #Reasons2iQ and tagging both @iQJersey & @ReasonsUK. You can also vote by liking the entries on Instagram or using the competition app on Facebook – the deadline is 12 pm on Tuesday 30 June.
Tim Evans, Director of iQ, said: "We knew that we wanted to support Reasons from the off.
“The whole vibe and ethos of this new local festival sits perfectly with iQ and our customers; it’s all about enabling people to use and enjoy technology to get better connected and creative in day-to-day life.
“We're really looking forward to bringing this partnership to life and have a host of special offers, boutique events and surprises in the pipe-line. This promises to be a brilliant event and we’re proud to be part of it. Bring it on!”
Ben Newman of Reasons said: “We are delighted to be working with IQ on this. They are an exciting brand, with a great team of passionate and knowledgeable staff, and we feel that we've a lot in common. A perfect partnership in my eyes.”
