Jersey Police have re-issued an appeal for witnesses who may have seen an accident last week in which an elderly pedestrian was knocked over and later died in hospital.

Seventy-one-year-old Mr John Reidy was allegedly hit by a white Peugeot 205 near to the entrance of Mount Edgecumbe Flats on Queen’s Road just after 9:00 last Friday. He died in hospital four days later on Tuesday.

The driver of the car, a 28-year-old man, remains on police bail while investigations continue.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 612612 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
