Jersey's coastlines and countryside will serve as the backdrop for a two day off-road running adventure, racking up a total distance of 60 miles next October.
The island will play host to the Rat Race Brand New Ultra Tour of Jersey on 10 and 11 October 2020.
With over 40,000 participants annually, the Rat Race community presents an international distribution platform to reach prospective visitors who are seeking a 'run-cation' and weekend of adventure across iconic landscapes and challenging courses.
With back-to-back marathons taking in all the very best trails that Jersey has to offer, the event will appeal to those seeking an active island escape.

The 'Ultra Tour of Jersey' will add a new format to the island’s sporting calendar with two days of off-road running, across "breath-taking coastlines and countryside," across a total distance of 60 miles.
“The island offers top class coastal running, brilliant vistas and the perfect landscape for us to add a stunning challenge to the 2020 calendar," said Jim Mee, Race Director at Rat Race.
"With over 36 flights per day, and an average 1-hour flight from the UK, Jersey is well placed to host our Rat Race community. Rat Race are renowned for our bold concepts and for innovating trends in adventure sport. We can’t think of a better place to add our latest adventure than the picture-perfect yet rugged island of Jersey.”
Meryl Laisney, Head of Product & Events at Events Jersey said they were delighted to welcome the Rat Race community to the island. “With sea, sand and track all within easy reach, Jersey is a mecca for sporting events and activities," she added.

Senator Lyndon Farnham, Economic Development Tourism, Sport and Culture Minister, also welcomed the addition of Rat Race to "Jersey’s growing sporting events calendar."

Rat Race will work in partnership with local event management company 3D Events, who support a number of event organisers bringing their events to Jersey.
