Santa gets switched on!

Thursday 27 November 2014

Santa is not only switching on Jersey’s Christmas lights tonight - he’s getting switched on to some new technology.

He’ll have a tracker on his sleigh so that you can keep track of where he is as he flies around the Island next week.

The man in red will set off from the Millennium Town Park at 5.30 pm with his express train full of children and will parade through St Helier stopping at West Centre, Bath Street, Queen Street and the Royal Square for the big switch on.

He’ll start his usual Island tour with his elves at lunchtime on Saturday from the Airport and will spend the next six days stopping off at parish halls, churches, supermarkets and Islanders’ homes, helping Jersey Round Table raise money for the Jersey Joint Charities Christmas Appeal.

Once he's started his journey you can see exactly where he is on this special website.

Jersey Round Table Chairman Dion Elliott said: “A lot of people want to see Santa and donate money, and knowing where he is will both help them to meet him and will add to the excitement. We are grateful to Airtel-Vodafone for their support, and to everyone who gets involved in making this happen.”
