Saturdays member Una Healy and Glastonbury-regular DJ Woody Cook have been announced as headliners of the final concert of Channel Islands Pride.

Organisers have this week released the full programme of events and acts for the four-day long festival which takes place between Thursday 14 and Sunday 17 September.

It includes DJ sets at the Official Pride Afterparty, held at the Royal Yacht, on Saturday 16 September from Una Healy, member of the British girl group The Saturdays, and DJ Woody Cook, who regularly performs at Glastonbury and stars in The Circle and Celebrity Googlebox.

He is returning to the festival after he was a "huge crowd favourite" in 2022, organisers said.

The festival will also include a Pride Idols Tribute Concert in People's Park on the Friday, with performances by some of the UK's top tribute acts to Lady Gaga, Freddie Mercury, Celine Dion, and Elton John.

The concert hopes to raise funds for Liberate, the Channel Islands' equality and diversity charity.

All of these events are in addition to the Channel Islands Pride Parade, and the Pride Celebrations in People's Park and Victoria Park on Saturday, which are free to attend and will be headlined by chart-topping 90s and 2000s boy band FIVE.

Christian May, director of Channel Islands Pride, said he was "delighted" that organisers had been able "to develop such an impressive programme of events across the long weekend to celebrate diversity and equality in the Channel Islands."

Earlier this year, he promised that the festival would be "bigger and better than ever."

He continued: "Pride has grown significantly in the eight years since we first held a Pride Parade, and we wanted to ensure that we were planning events that everyone could enjoy."

"We're acutely aware of the impacts of the cost-of-living crisis and we have tried to keep all ticket prices reasonable, given the quality of entertainment in store. The Pride Parade and Celebrations on Saturday will always be free to attend, and we've made sure that children can also attend the Friday night Pride Idols concert for free.

"We're continuing to work with fantastic local sponsors, businesses and suppliers to ensure that Channel Islands Pride is not only of benefit to the diversity of our community, but also ensures an economic benefit for the Island through the visitors we attract."

The programme also includes drag makeup tutorial workshops, boat parties, drag bingo, and a brunch.
