Serious town fire averted

Friday 21 October 2016

It took two fire engines to put out a blaze in a van outside Minden Place Car Park earlier this morning.

The Fire Service arrived just after 7 am to find the vehicle alight, with the fire threatening to spread to nearby cars and property.

Firefighters from Green Watch brought the fire under control quickly. It's not yet known how the fire started.
