Jersey Hospice is setting up a community choir and wants to hear from anyone who’s keen to get involved.
Organiser Sacha Patel said: “The choir will be open to anyone who enjoys signing, regardless of their ability.” The idea is to include patients, families, carers, staff, volunteers and members of the community from all walks of life.
Therapies Services Manager Cirsty de Gruchy-Wilson says the idea to set up the choir came about after chatting to patients. ”We found a need for a social and fun activity that would support people on their journey. We know that other hospices in the UK have successfully started up community choirs, so we thought we would give it a go.”
She added: “We are looking volunteers to help us bring this exciting new project together. We would love to hear from anyone who would be interested in leading the choir or helping to serving tea, coffee and cake.”
