An islander who lost her baby eight weeks into pregnancy is planning to shave her head to raise money for those who are going through the same thing.
Siobhan Bentley is hoping to raise £1,000 for local baby loss and safer pregnancy charity Philip's Footprints and UK charity The Miscarriage Association.
She is planning the head shave as the "grand finale" of a pub quiz organised to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week.

The annual awareness week – which is happening for the 21st time next week – acts as an opportunity to commemorate babies' lives and speak about pregnancy and baby loss.
"It’s a good time to raise more awareness around the subject of pregnancy loss and miscarriage as it’s such a taboo subject," Siobhan said.
"We need to ensure that these charities are looked after and can still help those in need."

She explained that after she lost her baby Pip, Philip's Footprints founder Jo Nash was an important source of support.
Siobhan added: “A year on, I have met so many lovely inspirational people who have had losses too."
Of the head shave, she said she was "very excited but bricking it at the same time" – adding that the hair would grow back.
