Sitting Deputies hold St. Helier No 1 on joint ticket

Wednesday 16 May 2018

Deputies Russell Labey, Judy Martin and Scott Wickenden have held their seats in St. Helier No 1 after running a joint campaign.

Deputy Martin topped the poll with 871 votes. She was followed by Deputy Labey with 833 and Deputy Wickenden with 682.

The trio beat out competition from Reform Jersey candidates Kelly Langdon, Yann Mash and John McNichol.

They also beat candidate Jason Lagadu and former politician Nick Le Cornu.

In their manifestos, the three winning candidates explained that they worked well together as a team, and wanted to continue that work.

Deputy Wickenden and Russell Labey were both sworn into the States for the first time in 2014. Judy Martin, meanwhile has served as a Deputy for the parish since the year 2000. They will all hold onto their seats for another four years.
