Two islanders who have dedicated decades to monitoring the island's bird population, migration patterns and breeding have been honoured by the Société Jersiaise.
Mick Dryden and Tony Paintin have been made Honorary Life Members as a "small gesture" to reflect the Société's "gratitude for their tremendous contribution to Jersey’s wildlife".
Both have been members since 1981, and have contributed enormously to the work of the Ornithology Section.
