A 17-year-old moped rider has been taken to hospital after a collision involving a car outside Samarès Stores in St. Clement this morning.
The teenager was taken to the Emergency Department by ambulance and is being treated for a cut to his finger and possibly a minor concussion.
The teenager was driving a red Honda scooter, while the car involved was a white Skoda Fabia driven by an 84-year-old man.
States Police described the incident as "a slow-moving collision" after the driver indicated to turn right.
The 84-year-old driver of the car was not injured.
La Grande Route de St. Clement was closed this morning from the crossroads with Plat Douet Road.
It has now been reopened.
