A 31-year-old Polish man, charged with the armed robbery of Temple Stores, was remanded in custody in the Magistrate's Court this morning.

Pawel Dzielak is alleged to have taken around £800 and an iPhone 5 in a knife-point robbery of the family-run corner shop in Stopford Road last Thursday.

Presiding, Magistrate Bridget Shaw refused bail and remanded Mr Dzielak in custody until the 8th February, when he will appear again in the Magistrate’s Court.
