One person had to be pulled out of a car after a three-car crash in Great Union Road yesterday that left two people needing hospital treatment.
The incident happened at 3.45 pm yesterday, with a fire engine and the new Rescue Unit being dispatched from around the Fire Station just around the corner from where the accident happened.
Watch Commander Richard Ryan said: “The equipment that we now carry on our new Rescue Unit was a big benefit with it being readily available, and definitely speeded up the extrication time for the casualty.”
