Update: Senatorial race so far

Wednesday 15 October 2014

With eleven parishes having declared their Senatorial votes so far, the Chief Minister Senator Ian Gorst is winning a tight fight with Sir Philip Bailhache to top the poll.

And Treasury Minister Senator Philip Ozouf is in a tough battle of his own, this time with Senator Sarah Ferguson to hang on to eighth.

Senators Farnham, Routier and Maclean all look like retaining their seats, with Deputy Andrew Green in prime position for a 'promotion' to the senatorial benches.  Dr Zoe Cameron is the only newcomer to have made an impact, and is running well for one of the eight positions. However the political careers of Deputies Sean Power and John Young might be over, currently they are sitting outside of the top eight.
