Islanders are being urged to run with Superman, as part of this year's Durrell Challenge, due to take place on 14 May.
Durrell hopes that over 500 people will sign up to run alongside Henry Cavill for the 13k race from St Helier to Jersey Zoo.
Over 200 people have already registered for the event including 32 VIP Runners who have all committed to raise funds in excess of £1,000 for the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
Lesley Dickie, CEO of Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, said: ‘We are delighted to be welcoming Henry back to his home in Jersey for the second Durrell Challenge.
“We are so grateful for his support and our aim is to raise over £50,000 to support Durrell’s mission of saving species from extinction. We have lots of great activities planned for the Family Fun Day and I look forward to seeing lots of our members and visitors enjoying a great day out at the zoo.”
Henry Cavill has already started preparing for the 13K challenge and shared some post run motivation with his Facebook followers:
Jersey Zoo will be open to Family Fun Day ticket holders from 9:00 on challenge day to enable friends and families to support loved ones cross the finish line.
