Jersey’s youngest busker has taken matters, and a violin, into his own hands in order to raise money towards a new laptop.
Having saved some money from birthdays and Christmases, the eleven-year-old Seb Kirkby only had £200 left to buy the laptop of his dreams.
After his dad wouldn’t lend him the rest of the money, Seb decided he would find a way to raise the rest of the funds himself by getting his busking licence a couple of months ago.

Seb has been playing violin for about two or three years and says that he is keen to carry on with music in the future.
When asked how he has found playing for the public, Seb said: “I’ve been enjoying it. Everyone’s been really nice and I can raise a lot in half an hour.”
From his busking gigs so far, Seb is £62 closer to his new laptop and is planning on busking again at the end of August.
