Warning over high strength ‘Panama’ pills

Tuesday 04 January 2022

Police are warning islanders about high-strength MDMA tablets that have been found circulating in the island.

The ‘Panama’ pills are a beige/gold colour, featuring an owl-like face on one side and a star on the other.

On Facebook, officers said the Class A pills were of particular concern “due to their strength”.

The alert comes less than two months after another high-strength MDMA pill known as ‘Punisher’ was found on the island.

It was linked with deaths of teenagers in the UK.
