11 England regions will be added to the 'red' travel category from Saturday at midnight.

Canada and Tenerife in the Canary Islands are also among the countries to be reclassified within the highest risk category.

The majority of England remains in the red category with only 11 areas still in 'amber' status.

Under Jersey's traffic light system, passengers arriving from a region with green status are required undertake a PCR test on arrival (day 0) and a second one on day 5.

They must isolate until they receive a negative result from their day 0 test.

Passengers arriving from an amber status country must take a PCR test on arrival and on day 5, and isolate until they receive a negative result from their day 5 test.

Meanwhile, passengers arriving from a country with a red status must take a PCR test on arrival and isolate for 14 days.
