Newly-installed footfall cameras which are costing islanders £21,000 over the next three years are intended to closely monitor the numbers of shoppers in town – but what are they actually telling us?
Economic Development Minister Kirsten Morel announced the initiative earlier this year, explaining that cameras had been installed in Queen Street and King Street in December to provide more data on the “concentration” of footfall.
