A 32-year-old woman has been arrested and a man is in hospital following an alleged “stabbing incident” which saw an armed response unit sent to Roseville Street this afternoon.
Officers and paramedics were sent to the area after a 999 call was received around 13:30.
A Police spokesperson said in a statement issued shortly after 15:00: "Police are currently dealing with a stabbing incident that happened in a residential property in Roseville Street this afternoon.
They added that the male victim - who had to be stretchered out of a window in the building - "is currently in hospital in a stable condition and police have arrested a 32 year old woman on suspicion of grave and criminal assault."
They added that it is believed the man and woman "are known to each other."
Investigations are continuing.
