The object of the competition, sponsored by Channel Islands Co-operative society and Mercury Distribution, is for each student to come up with a healthy three-course menu for two people, costing no more than £15. Students will have two hours  to cook and present their food, which will be judged by a panel of catering professional judges.

Taste, presentation and kitchen hygiene will all be assessed by the judging panel who will also be taking into account the students' choice in supporting healthy eating.

The winner will receive the Jersey Dairy perpetual trophy. An additional Genuine Jersey trophy will be given to the student who will have made the best use of local produce.
