NEWS EYE: Trip down memory lane after unscheduled flight this week

Friday 22 July 2022

Owing to your correspondent hitting a large pothole while out cycling on Wednesday, which caused him to fly over the handlebars and break his collarbone, today’s News Eye is a dip into the archives.

Last July, News Eye accurately reported a made-up story that a team from Mozambique was coming to Jersey to advise the island on how to improve the quality of its utterly piss-poor roads.

It seems the team didn’t quite make it to the top part of Rue d’Enfer on the St. John / St. Mary border, where your correspondent took an unscheduled flying lesson this week, thanks to a giant, longstanding hole in the road.

Here is the official report on the Mozambique road inspection.
