Striker Adebayo Akinfenwa has committed himself to Wycombe by signing a one-year contract extension with the League One club.
The 37-year-old frontman has scored 44 goals in three seasons since arriving at Adams Park from Wimbledon during the summer of 2016.
Manager Gareth Ainsworth told the club’s official website, www.wycombewanderers.co.uk: “People have been writing Bayo off since he first pulled on a pair of football boots, but he continues to deliver year after year and he’s such a huge part of what we’ve been building here, so I’m delighted to keep him here.
“He brings so much to the club, on and off the pitch, and I know how popular he is with the rest of the squad, all the staff, and all of the supporters, and I firmly believe he’s still got what it takes to be a real driving force for us again next season.”
Akinfenwa follows fellow frontman Scott Kashket in extending his stay after he signed a three-year deal in May.
