French return on Fujimoto Flyer’s agenda

Fujimoto Flyer, who created such a stir when winning at Auteuil last time out, will return to France for her next outing.

The filly, who won on her hurdling debut at Killarney, turned a Listed event for juvenile fillies into a procession, winning by nine lengths.

Not surprisingly, given how well she handled the track and French hurdles, Emmet Mullins is looking to return in search of more euros.

“She’ll hopefully go back to Auteuil for a three-year-old-only fillies’ Grade Two at the start of next month,” said Mullins.

“She surprised us how well she won last time. We’ve always thought a lot of her at home, but it wasn’t until she went over jumps that she started putting it all together.

“The ground wasn’t too bad when she won there, but it was certainly slower than when she won at Killarney. We’ll find out for sure the next day if she handles it very deep.

“She’s exciting anyway, fingers crossed I can keep her right.”

He added: “After the next month, I haven’t really looked at the programme for her at home or in France but this is a big pot, it’s a Grade Two, so that’s our target at the moment.

“It’s worth over 100,000 euros and there’s simply nothing like that at home or in Britain and she’s proved herself at Auteuil already.”
