More than 30 young dancers from Jersey will be heading across the water later this month for a showstopping spectacle at one of the world's best-loved amusement resorts.
Silhouette Studios, whose dancers range in age from seven up to 16, have been given a slot on the prestigious Disneyland Paris stage, and are now excitedly preparing for the performance of a lifetime.
The dance school's Principal. Narelle O'Connor, told Express of the "pure excitement" growing amongst her students.
"Every time I see them, they will tell me how many days are left until we fly. They can't wait".
Not everyone gets the opportunity to dance at Disney – Ms O'Connor explained that the application process is onerous, with two rounds to get through.

Once given the green light, successful dance groups get given a slot onstage.
Silhouette Studios has a 20-minute dance slot on the Videopolis stage where they will perform four group routines.
"We've never done anything like this", Miss O'Connor added.
"We've performed in the UK and London but nothing this big."

But the trip comes at a cost – and the whole Silhouette community have been getting involved in the process of fundraising.
Car washes and cake sales have so far taken place to raise enough money for costumes, flights and park tickets.
"They've been working so hard," Ms O'Connor said.
Ahead of the big day, the young dancers put on a preview show over the weekend at Les Quennevais School.

"It was nice for parents and grandparents that can't travel with us to be able to see the show," Ms O'Connor said.
"...It went really well and got rid of any pre-show nerves."
But the fun won't be over once the curtain falls on Disney's Videopolis on Sunday 21 July – the youngsters will then get an extra day to enjoy the world-famous theme park.
