An investigation was launched after several reports of cars being broken into near Bordeaux and the Bridge.
Between 17:30 Tuesday 29 August and 06:30 30 August a large sum of money was taken from a car in Clos De Bordage.
Police also investigated reports of a person being seen trying to get in other cars around the Bordeaux area.
After posting about the investigation, several further reports were made to Guernsey Police about other break-ins.
Guernsey Police have said that “while enquiries are ongoing, we’d still strongly encourage islanders to lock their vehicles and property at night”.
“The best way to avoid these kind of incidents is by not giving potential criminals any easy opportunities.”
