The first of the offences took place on 17 August last year, when the defendant, together with another, stole a bluetooth speaker from Santana Takeaway, valued at £128. The speaker was handed in to police a few days later, but wasn’t claimed after a month so was given to charity.
Two of the offences were related to fraud, which Beausire committed between 21 and 23 February 2020.

He said a friend had given him her card to buy drinks with whilst they were together, however he continued using the card later that evening, when he was no longer with her.
He bought alcoholic drinks totalling £80 at Amigos and Thomas De La Rue using her money.
The defendant was also charged with behaving in a disorderly manner at North Plantation on 22 February and was arrested by police. He was then charged with resisting arrest.
“He did feel targeted by one of the officers”, said Beausire’s Defence Advocate Sam Maindonald.
Whilst on bail, on 19 April, when the island was in full lockdown, Beausire was caught in Candie Gardens carrying a hand axe.

He was taken into custody on 20 April and remanded until his court sentencing.
Advocate Maindonald said the series of offending was the result of a “spiralling effect that we’ve seen before”.
However, Judge Gary Perry was aggravated by the defendant’s “very poor record” and the reasons he gave in the probation report.
“The explanations you gave to the probation officer are at best fanciful,” he said. “This is your second offence of carrying an axe in public.”
Beausire was sentenced to four-and-a-half months in prison for carrying the weapon, two-and-a-half months for the fraud offences, two months for the theft, two months for resisting arrest and one month concurrent for his disorderly behaviour.
