Anyone returning from a country in Group A is asked to self-isolate for 14 days, irrespective of whether they have symptoms of the virus or not.
Those countries include:
- Mainland China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau)
- Iran
- South Korea
- Specific lockdown areas designated by the government of Italy
If you have returned from one of the Group A countries within the last two weeks and are experiencing a fever, cough or shortness of breath you are urged to contact Public Health Services on 725241.

Anyone feeling very unwell should call 999, making the operator aware of the symptoms and their travel history.
Those who have recently returned from countries in Group B will only need to self-isolate if they are showing symptoms of the virus, which occur within 14 days of returning.
Group B countries include:
- Thailand
- Japan
- Republic of Korea
- Hong Kong
- Taiwan
- Singapore
- Malaysia
- Macau
- Northern Italy (not including Pisa, Florence and Rimini)
- Vietnam
- Cambodia
- Laos
- Myanmar
- Indonesia

Students who recently returned from Italy with the Grammar School ski trip have been sent home and asked to self-isolate until test results return. Students from other schools who have also been on half term ski trips are not affected.
