The annual ‘Hidden Gardens of St Pierre du Bois’ is returning this Saturday and Sunday.
“Hidden Gardens is the highlight of our church events calendar,” said The Reverend Dr Adrian Datta from St Pierre du Bois Church.
“It feels very special to be able to hold it this year after two lockdowns.”
Three different routes have been created, with organisers saying there will be “something to suit everyone”.
Those who don’t want to venture too far can enjoy a ‘Gentle Jaunt’ popping in to gardens near to the church, whilst those feeling a little more adventurous can head east on a ‘Medium Meande’r. This route includes a stop at Stephen and Mary Le Poidevin’s farm museum and gardens along the way.
Heading west, a ‘Rigorous Ramble’ takes in the Bridget Ozanne Orchid Fields, which are in full bloom.

Several gardens are new additions to the annual trail, said Stuart Perfitt, Managing Director of event sponsor Rocq Capital.
“We’re encouraging people to come by bike so they can travel around the parish a little quicker than on foot. And for the tech-savvy, we shall have the routes downloadable on mobile phones.”
The Pollinator Project’s Andy Smith will be leading walks, the first commencing at 13:00 daily through one of the hidden gardens, highlighting some of the pollinators which can be found in both cultivated and rewilded areas.
Between midday and 14:00 on both Saturday and Sunday, walkers can enjoy food from a BBQ before setting off, while cream teas and home made cakes will be available from the church between 14:00 and 17:00.
The Hidden Gardens of St Pierre du Bois takes place on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June from 12:00 to 17:00 Admission by programme is £7 for adults which covers both days, while children under 16 go free.
Assistance dogs only will be permitted in gardens. Parking will be made available at Les Brehauts playing field.
