The creation of the hub follows the school receiving a national wellbeing award in 2021 as recognition of the its commitment to the mental health of students and staff.

It has been designed by mental health and wellbeing experts Teen Tops and will provide mental health resources for the entire school community.

The interactive hub will provide expert support to the school and students are receiving daily activities to support their own mental health. Additionally, staff have been trained through a mental health course to offer emotional support to pupils and colleagues.

Senior Prefect Leyla said: “The wellbeing hub is a fantastic step for The Ladies’ College. It is full of information for parents and students and answers lots of relevant questions many of us find ourselves asking. It’s definitely worth logging into. There’s something for everyone.”

The hub also provides resources for parents, including webinars, podcasts and live question and answer sessions.

“We are thrilled to launch the wellbeing hub in the Senior School. It’s an incredibly beneficial resource for our whole College community,” said Deputy Principal Dr Vanessa Mitchell.

“It provides a wealth of resources for students, staff and their families, who can access what is relevant and most helpful for their individual circumstance.

“The monthly wellbeing webinars, parenting courses and the wide variety of student wellbeing activities are just some of the aspects of the platform that serve to further strengthen our pastoral provision at The Ladies’ College.”
