A multi-agency operation was co-ordinated to rescue a person from the Clarence Battery, better known as the Cow’s Horn, early on Bank Holiday Monday.
The emergency services were called just after 05:00 with Guernsey Police, Ambulance and Rescue, the Fire and Rescue Service, and the RNLI among those attending.
Due to the location of the incident, ambulance crews were taken to the scene by the RNLI using the inshore lifeboat.

Police officers who were first on the scene provided initial first aid.
Paramedics then treated the casualty at the scene with help from the fire service, before the patient was transported first by the inshore lifeboat, and then taken by the all-weather lifeboat back to St Peter Port Harbour.
From there, they were taken to hospital by road ambulance.
A spokesperson for the Ambulance and Rescue service praised the joint working and coordination of all services involved.
“This was another good example of joint working by Guernsey’s emergency services, with good coordination and communication from those involved.”
They continued: “We would like to thank the volunteer RNLI crew of both lifeboats or their assistance with this incident.”
