Art for Guernsey, (AfG), and the Youth Commission have worked with students to create a book which bridges the generational gaps.

‘Spilling the Lingo’ features 100 popular slang words, each paired with creative poems and artwork by students.

It’s intended to be an up to date lexicon of certain slang phrases popular with younger people.

A launch event took place over the weekend in which 70 – 80 people turned up to celebrate the achievement.

Lucy Brimage, a Le Murier teacher, and representing Art for Guernsey, and Sian Jones of the Youth Commission worked together on the project, which saw students from States school instrumental in publishing the book.

It’s available online from Amazon HERE.
