It’s not yet known what type of cancer the 75-year-old has but it was discovered during regular treatments on his prostate.
King Charles became King after the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022, with his coronation taking place the following May.
Deputy Lyndon Trott issued the following statement yesterday [6 February]:
“On behalf of Guernsey, I wish His Majesty the very best in his treatment and I hope he has a full and swift recovery.
“Our thoughts are with him and the Royal Family.”
