The campaigners, who have chosen to remain anonymous since launching their group, said the investigations and arrest by the Police highlight the importance of victims reporting every incident.

Police announced on Monday that officers had received two reports of alleged drink spiking at venues over the weekend.
Investigations are at an early stage and the only update released so far is that one person has been arrested.
Police said: “Early reporting is extremely important in drink spiking cases…make a report as soon as you feel well enough”. And they assured victims that officers will be there to support them once an incident has been reported.

The Girls Night In campaign said it was thinking of the victims of the alleged incidents and that everyone on a night out should be aware of safety measures they can take for their own protection and which have been highlighted recently. It also encouraged victims to report incidents immediately.
The Girls Night In campaign started in the UK after reports of people being injected with ‘date rape’ drugs. It called on women to boycott their town centres and local pubs and to stay home instead as a way of showing that they would rather stay at home than be unsafe while on a night out.
A boycott of Town venues was held in Guernsey on a Friday night in November. Many young women took part and stayed out of Town in solidarity with the campaign to promote their safety.
Numerous bars in St Peter Port responded to the campaign by highlighting safety measures and staff training which they have put in place in an effort to help prevent incidents and protect the safety of women on nights out.
