Guernsey Finances’ Communications Director has departed the firm, following the Chief Executive amid a wave of controversial headlines in the local and national press.
It was confirmed Rosie Allsopp had left the agency – which promotes Guernsey’s finance sector – over the weekend, with her details removed from its website.
Her LinkedIn has also been deactivated, mirroring what happened to Chief Executive Rupert Pleasant last Monday.
The Committee for Economic Development, which provides £2.5m per year to Guernsey Finance, has since confirmed it will reinstate a political member to its board as well as two additional non-executive directors.
It is expected that Guernsey Finance will comment on the decision to enhance political oversight this week.
Barnaby Molloy, Acting Chief Executive of Guernsey Finance, issued a statement to the national press over the weekend saying they take “reports relating to workplace conduct seriously”.

He confirmed the individuals are no longer on the payroll and said “the alleged behaviour of the two individuals concerned falls significantly short of the standards we expect.
“Any conversations and actions were clearly intended to be private; the behaviour and opinions expressed do not reflect those of our organisation.
“This matter is undoubtedly embarrassing for the individuals involved, and we ask that their privacy and that of their families be respected. We also want to acknowledge our wider team and emphasise that this incident does not detract from the excellent work done by our organisation every day.”
Mr Molloy said the board “acted quickly with good governance and in line with our legal obligations and HR policies,” once the events were brought to their attention.
An independent investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.
