A man from Guernsey has been sentenced to a total of eight years in prison for a series of “wicked and depraved offences”, including secretly filming people in their own homes.
Kirk Geoff Bishop (40) recorded more than 130 images and videos of three women and one man from inside their homes – including while they were engaged in sexual activity, while they were naked, and in the shower.
The Royal Court heard that Bishop had hidden behind open bedroom doors to film the people, as well as peering through windows, over a period of several years up to September 2025, when he was arrested and remanded into custody.
Bishop also pleaded guilty to one associated count of burglary for stealing black underwear from a woman.

In sentencing, Lieutenant-Bailiff Russell Finch OBE said Bishop’s “bizarre” crimes were “both unusual and unpleasant”, leaving a “serious and understandable” impact on his victims.
The sentence was made up of six years for the trespass and burglary offences – given by the Royal Court – and a further two years for the voyeurism offences – handed down by the Magistrates Court.
Bishop is the first person to be convicted of the crime of Trespass with Intent to Commit a Sexual Offence, under the Sexual Offences (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2020, Lieutenant-Bailiff Finch said.
Chased into the street
Bishop was first arrested after a St Peter Port couple came home one evening to find him in the bedroom of their ground floor flat, operating a sex toy belonging to the woman.
Bishop fled and was chased into the street by the man, who restrained him with the help of a member of the public, after Bishop attempted to hit him with a piece of wood.

Footage recovered from Bishop’s mobile phones proved that he had filmed the couple on several occasions, making 60 images and videos, including from behind a door while they were intimate.
The incidents left the woman feeling “terrified” and “violated”. She no longer felt safe at home, while the man considered giving up his night shifts because of the incident, according to a victim statement read out in court.
Another woman, from St Sampson’s, noticed Bishop filming her while she was drying herself on her bed after a shower and chased him out of her home.
Bishop was later identified as the intruder using footage from his phones and DNA found in her home.
There was no evidence that any of the images or video were shared with anyone or distributed online.
Camera ban
Bishop was sentenced to six years in prison by the Royal Court for eight offences including seven counts of Trespass with Intent to Commit a Sexual Offence (of voyeurism) as well as one count of Burglary. He had previously pleaded guilty to all the offences.
The prison sentence will run from the date Bishop was first remanded in custody, 18 September 2025.
Bishop was also given an extended licence sentence of five years.
This means he could go to jail for a further five years after he’s released, if he commits further crimes or fails to comply with other terms – including needing permission to own or use a camera or camera phone.

While he had no prior sexual convictions, Bishop had previously been convicted for a number of other offences, including death by dangerous driving.
Snail-like trail
Bishop was also sentenced to a further two years in prison – to be served consecutively – by the Magistrate’s Court for nine counts of Voyeurism under the 2020 Sexual Offences Law, between 2022 and 2025.
Lieutenant-Bailiff Finch said Bishop left “a dirty and unpleasant snail-like trail” in his wake.
He recorded photos and videos of at least 12 identified people, filming them from outside their homes through bedroom and bathroom windows.
Several of the victims had met Bishop or were aware of him.
He also “upskirted” at least one woman, who has not been identified – taking images her underwear under her clothing, without her knowledge.
Victims described themselves as being “angry”, “embarrassed”, and “constantly on edge”.
Bishop asked for five other offences to be taken into account, relating to recordings of other unidentified victims.
