The Kick-on for Les Amis, held this Saturday at Les Quennevais School, saw 20 five-a-side teams from local businesses face off in a series of 10-minute matches.

Each team payed £500 to enter, bringing the total raised up to £10,000. All proceeds went to Les Amis, a local charity that provides services to support people with learning disabilities or associated conditions to gain equal opportunities.

A cake sale on the day managed to raise an additional £140.

The winners of the tournamentwere the Style Group (pictured top), who took the title after seeing off Standard Bank in the final with a 3-1 victory.

Last year, the tournament managed to raise a total of £9,500, which all went to the Red Cross working in Ukraine.

Organiser Tom Stead confirmed that the event will return next year, and will continue to support Les Amis.

He said: “This year, everything went really well. We’ve had some great feedback this year, so we’re looking forward to doing it all over again next year.”
