The 2019 list shows that Sark’s Barclay brothers (pictured above) have regained the top spot, with wealth amassing £8billion – a £600 million increase on last year.
They took the lead from Russian oligarch and Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich, who was granted Jersey residency, which he eventually decided not to take up.

The Barclay Brothers’ business portfolio includes the Telegraph newspaper, Littlewoods and Very.co.uk. They are 17th overall on the rich list rankings this year, which can be viewed in full below.
Second highest ranking on the Channel Islands list was Jersey-based alcohol magnate Glenn Gordon – the man behind Glenfiddich and Hendrick’s gin. While he was only second in the Channel Islands, he took the title of 2019’s wealthiest Scot.
The total wealth among the 19 richest in the Channel Islands who made it onto the list is £22.855 billion, with the top 6 accounting for £17.757billion of that figure. The 27 rich list entrants on the Welsh list are worth a combined wealth of £15.485 billion, with number two on the list being Douglas Perkins, who also features at number 4 the Channel Islands list.
